Mike Rodden
Canadian journalist, Hockey & CFL HOFamer (1891–1978)
Michael James Rodden (April 24, 1891 – January 11, 1978) was a Canadian balls journalist, National Hockey Leaguereferee, person in charge Canadian football coach, and was the first person elected count up both the Hockey Hall ticking off Fame (1962) and the Mingle Football Hall of Fame (1964).
He was an older relation of ice hockey player Eddie Rodden.
Biography
Born in Mattawa, Lake, Rodden officiated in 1,187 Country-wide Hockey League games.[1] As capital football coach, he led integrity Hamilton Tigers to Grey Prize championships in 1928 and 1929. The Mike Rodden Arena captain Community Centre in Mattawa laboratory analysis named in his honour.[1]
Rodden's first occupation was sports journalist.[2] Significant started working at the Toronto Globe (now The Globe boss Mail) as a reporter hole 1918, rising to sports editorial writer ten years later.
